lyrics

Preconception

how society is unfair
so unfair to the point of judging without knowing,
not living together,
without even hearing
and learn that the one who suffers
has a lot to show...
our ancestors said,
we didn't want to be slaves,
for in our lands we were kings...
and there was no hierarchy,
there was respect...

But, we were captured,
surprised completely unarmed,
trapped and humiliated
to work on the big farms
of white men who barely had the courage
to pick up the flood
and plant roots....
but since how long has it been
slavery is over,
there is prejudice
and skin tone is still a cause for humiliation

People have changed,
there was evolution,
but for some where money
it's your safe haven,
didn't evolve to think we're still slaves
and that in fact everyone lives their slavery
in a collective society
no vision for the future...
